Workshops 2026

At the Pangonia Festival, the workshops take a strongly community-oriented approach. Many sessions are led by handpan players from within the community — so look forward to learning from one another. All workshops, with the exception of masterclasses, are included in the ticket price.

This year, we have organized a wide range of additional workshops where you can explore and express yourself physically, creatively, emotionally and of course musically.

The workshop program for 2026 is still being updated. Stay tuned!

Rebirthing Breathwork is a profound self-healing practice that uses conscious connected breathing to release deep-seated stress, emotional blocks, and past traumas stored in the body even since you were in your mother's womb.

It is a circular, continuous type of breathwork, and by eliminating the pauses between inhalation and exhalation, this gentle yet powerful technique floods your system with oxygen and life-force energy.

Drumming Workshop with Seba

In this workshop, you will learn about the interplay of West African percussion instruments within an ensemble. These fundamental instruments are now used worldwide and include bass drums and djembés.

The three bass drums form the foundation of the music. They are tuned differently and are called Doundoun, Sangban, and Kenkeni. The bass drums are traditionally played by one person each and are double-sided with cowhide heads.
On the bell, a pattern is played, while specific accents are emphasized on the drumhead.

Together, the three bass voices form a polyrhythmic “bass melody” that can dynamically evolve and interact with djembé solos. The djembé is a goblet-shaped wooden drum covered with goatskin.
It is played using three basic tones (bass, tone, slap) arranged into patterns and serves both as an accompaniment and solo instrument.
Approx. 10 participants.

Trigger warning: These drums are not vegan.
